WHAT ARE THE BEST THINGS AND CHALLENGES OF BEING A FREELANCER???

I recently finished a certified course on skillshare about freelancing and this is my project. Freelancing is about being paid to render a service, now imagine being paid to do something you love doing that is one of the best things ever. I would render my service for free because giving me that trust to perform that task in the first place already makes it known that i do know how to do my work. I am a fashion designer and writer, i love writing about fashion ideas, fails, critism and all that. Mostly my blog contains a well designed outfit curated by me telling you how to style it and the specific body shape that would bring out the beauty of the oufit.

The best thing about being a freelancer also is putting my work out there from my comfort zone, i don’t have to be at the train station holding up a signboard telling people about my work and pleading them to partronize my brand. I also have the advantage to get honest reviews about my work, most times friends would lie to protect your feelings so you won’t feel discouraged and them not feeling bad but a client would tell you how they feel about your work because they paid for it earning them a certain right. The workplace is another beautiful thing you get to learn while earning, and meet people who has been where you are, faced what you are facing and give you a solution to help you.There is never a risk in freelancing it mostly a win-win business unlike crypo and the likes.

Every sucessful business today suffered some certain challenges helping them to stand stong and get to that stage. The most challenge i have faced as a freelancer was not getting client as a beginner and that is what most beginners face and, till date i still face the same challenge that how i stumbled upon this course. You see a job description that accomodates entry level but then they end up employing someone that has expreiences. When i graduated at the year 2020 as a cetified content writer for like a whole year i didn’t have any client, i sent out proposal offering to render my service for little or no amount but i never got any response. I joined so many jobs application and applied for many i got few responses and they were all saying my location is not in alliance with the job.

The first time i finally got a job was through my friend, she introduced me to a client which i met in person and we spoke about my knowledge and the project, she really loved my contributions and we ended up working for her. When i delievered the work to her she said she really loved it and introduced me to other clients which are still my recurring clients till now and they are all from my country. I want to be able to work with clients from other countries knowing my work is going places unlike the writer(Me). I have learnt and will still learn how to achieve that till then i just have to be committed and consitency in what i do best.
